Inspirational Poets

When poets want or need to be inspired a lot times they turn to inspirational poems. Creative writing has helped inspired people in many different ways. Poetry about a poet’s life, about faith, about confidence, and views on life can be very inspiring.

Poets often write inspirational poems about their life. Poems such as these can be based on how they overcame some sort of situation. Drug addictions, finance problems, relationship issues and school are some of the many things people write about things to inspire others. Many times people may write a poem about their life not with the intention to inspire but still inspire the readers that read it. An example is a poem that describes how the person got over a bad relationship or divorce. When people describe a gambling addiction through a poem can inspire people not to try it or help them overcome the same addiction. A lot of times teenagers go through many things while in school so a lot of times they write about those things which can be inspiring to the read. These teenagers are often in middle school or high school.

Poems about faith can be very inspirational which are often written about God. These poems can about the things that God has done for that person or the greatness of God. Other faith inspirational poems can be about how a person believes that something will happen for them even when it seems not possible. Because many people go to church inspirational poems on faith is a form of poetry that is often written.

When poets are feeling confident they often write poems based on their confidence which can make for a very good inspiring poem. These kinds of poems can be based off material things or emotions that they feel inside. A confident writer can also inspire their readers to write. Many times readers will want to read more than one poem from a poet who writes with confidence.

Poems written based on a writer’s views are often inspirational. Inspirational poetry such as this can be written about society, family, government and other subject areas. If a person was to write a poem based on infants who need food and water in Africa it can be inspirational to people that read the poem. A poem written on how much a person loves their mom or dad and a poem written about how society need’s to change for the better can also be very inspiring poems as well.

Inspirational poetry can be tough to write depending on the poet. A lot times when writers are feeling depressed or stressed they may not be able to write inspirational poems. Some poets may have to read an inspirational poem first before they can be able to write one themselves. Because of the many problems around the world people are always seeking to find something that inspires. Because of this reason many people write inspirational poetry. Inspirational poems can be found in books, on the internet and on cards. Inspiration has always been a great mood changer when it comes to feelings such as depression so inspirational poetry is a very popular form of poetry.

Tolle’s Power Of Now Head Clutter Cure

Tolle’s Power Of Now Head Clutter Cure

When I was out of work, clutter camped out in my head. I worried about how I would pay my bills. I fretted over what I could have done to avoid the lay off. I rehearsed the worse case scenarios (that would likely never happen) repeatedly over and over again. This unhealthy, obsessive mental regurgitation drove me crazy. Worse yet, it added confusion when what I needed was clarity so I could be at my best for my job search.

Eckhart Tolle’s book “The Power of Now” offered me sound advice for overcoming this insanity. (He’s the guy Oprah Winfrey promoted for his book “A New Earth.”) Now this is the second time I read “Power” and I find it more insightful now that the first time. Why? Probably because it’s been a few years since I first read it and I’ve mentally digested the material from the first time.

Early on in the book, “Power” discusses compulsive thinking. We go over regrets, worry about the future and keep ourselves out of the present moment. As the book’s title suggests, there is power in staying present or in the “Now” as Tolle calls it. The past is behind us and the future is an unknown so the present is the only place where we can make a difference. It’s where we can be aware of ourselves but only if we can weed through the mental noise. Take a look at what Tolle says about experiencing personal enlightenment:

(Question) What is the greatest obstacle to experiencing this reality? (Answer) Identification with your mind, which causes thought to become compulsive. Not to be able to stop thinking is a dreadful affliction, but we don’t realize this because almost everybody is suffering from it, so it is considered normal. This incessant mental noise prevents you from finding that realm of inner stillness that is inseparable from Being.”

The mental clutter is more than just stressful. It stand is the way of our being complete and realize our full potential. Tolle uses the word “Being” to refer to our awareness of what’s truly happening at a given moment and of God or the supernatural in our lives. Whether we are looking for work, content in our current job, getting through school or charged up about a new career move, we have all this mental chatter. It’s this noise and worry that prevents us from tapping into what can power our future.

Let me see if I can give you examples of why this matters. I am an avid runner. It’s interesting how during long energizing runs (yes some of us find it energizing), I come up with all sorts of creative ideas. I get unexpected insight. Solutions to challenging problems turn up. Physical exercise clears my head from crazy thinking and frees up some sort of energy in me. And it’s not my doing. It just seems to happen.

Here’s another example. Over the years, I’ve developed a practice of quiet meditation. When I first started, I sought after it as if I were on a hunt for something mysterious and mystical. As I have developed my practice, I realized it’s a path that leads to a quiet mind where you can be very aware. And lo and behold, mental busyness stops there. That leads me to a sense of peace.

This is what Tolle wants us to learn in his “Power of Now” book.

“Power” discusses many other concepts surrounding the Now and Being. He makes a point of avoiding terms that have specific religious meanings. He says he fears this might cloud his message. He describes a state of personal presence that can help us gain control over mental chatter and tap into the best of ourselves for taking on what challenges life has given us. It can also further our spiritual walk and relationship with the supernatural.

Hopefully, this will be a big help in taking on life’s challenges. It’s been a big help for me.

As I continue re-reading this book, I will share other concepts and ideas that were valuable to me.

Hope this helps!

www.namastepublishing.com ECKHART TOLLE’S teaching about the pain body is extremely interesting. I would like to find a piece in which he explains it from the basics. It’s best to pick up a copy of “The Power of Now” to get a better understanding of it. My imperfect explination is that by trying to avoid uncomfortable feelings and experiences in the present, the residue of this uncomfortable and incomplete moment is stored in a “mental-emotional-bodypattern” complex of memory. This residue he calls the pain body, and it can be triggered back into reaction by any similar experience. It is then so easy to become identified with this body of pain (pain body) as a tragic heroic figure, and any re-exposure to a similar pain will reinforce the tragic-heroic identity that you are unconsciously nursing. Of course all of this unconscious behavior is totally counter productive because it drives you further into the same equation. WOW! Bible – What Is The New Testament

1月 23, 2008 · Posted in Testament · Comment

Bible – What Is The New Testament

The New Testament is the name given to the second half of the Christian Bible, the first half known to Christians as the Old Testament.

Being the Hebrew Bible, is called by the Jews as Tanakh. It is sometimes called the Greek Testament or Greek Scriptures or the New Covenant.

The New Testament records the life of Jesus Christ. It also deals with the early church and the meaning of faith in Jesus. The New Testament was written in Greek, which was widely spoken during the time of Jesus. However, Jesus and His disciples spoke Aramaic.

The authors of the New Testament did not deliberately try to create a Christian Bible. The early church already had a Bible, the Old Testament of Judaism. However, differing views of Christian faith during the A.D. 100′s led the church to form the New Testament canon. It needed the canon as authority against unacceptable religious views. The church also wanted to preserve the authentic story of Jesus’ life and death.

Books of the New Testament: The New Testament consists of 27 books organized into four sections–the Gospels, the Acts of the Apostles, the Letters, and Revelation. The number of books and their order are the same in the Roman Catholic and Protestant versions.

The Gospels consist of four books: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. They appear as the first books in the New Testament, though they are not the earliest works in the canon. The word gospel comes from the Old English word god spell, which means good news.

The early church probably accepted the four Gospels as authentic, even though the authors were unknown. Gradually, the church associated the Gospels with two of Christ’s apostles, Matthew and John, and two companions of apostles, Mark and Luke. Traditionally, they are considered to be the authors of the Gospels.

The Gospels describe the life of Jesus: Matthew, Mark, and Luke have similarities of detail and arrangement. They are called the Synoptic Gospels. The word synoptic comes from a Greek word that means see together.

The Synoptic Gospels differ from the Gospel of John in several ways. In the Synoptic Gospels, for example, Jesus expresses His teachings chiefly in short sayings and in brief stories called parables. In John, He teaches through long statements.

Although the Synoptic Gospels generally deal with the same events, each of the four Gospels regards Jesus differently. Matthew describes Him as the lawgiver who tells how Christians and their church should act. Mark shows Him as the Saviour who triumphs through suffering. Luke presents Jesus as the Saviour of all people. John concentrates on Jesus’ divine nature.

Many scholars believe that Mark was the earliest Gospel, written just before or after the Romans captured Jerusalem in A.D. 70. Matthew and Luke were written a little later. The contents of these two Gospels indicate that both authors knew Mark’s Gospel but not each other’s. John was written last, perhaps in the A.D. 90′s.

The Acts of the Apostles is one book. It continues the story told in Luke and was written by the same author. Acts tells about the expansion of the early church. The story opens in Jerusalem, where the apostles gather after Jesus is raised from the dead. The book ends in Rome, where Saint Paul, the church’s first great missionary, preaches to the Jews while a Roman prisoner.

The Letters make up 21 books: These books contain some of the earliest writings in the New Testament, though they appear in the canon after the Gospels and the Acts. The Letters are also known as the Epistles, from a Greek word meaning to send.

The first 13 letters are called the Pauline Letters because most of them were written by Saint Paul. The last 8 are called the General Letters. Early church leaders wrote them, but scholars do not know who the authors were or disagree on who they might have been.

The Pauline Letters preserve Paul’s preaching. He wrote the letters to Christian congregations he had founded. Most of the letters were probably written in the A.D. 50′s and early 60′s. Paul’s letters discuss problems of faith and conduct.

The General Letters were written over a number of years until about A.D. 125. They deal with problems faced by second- and third-generation Christians.

Revelation is one book: It is also called the Apocalypse, from a Greek word meaning to reveal. A man named John wrote the book, but he is probably not the same person who wrote the Gospel of John.

Revelation begins as letters “to the seven churches that are in Asia.” It then gives a symbolic description of God’s final triumph, through Christ, over evil and death. This description comes from a series of visions of the future sent by God to the author through an angel.

Development of the New Testament: The first generation of Christians preserved memories of Jesus’ teachings, deeds, and Crucifixion largely by word of mouth. The story of Jesus was not written down in the Gospels until the second generation of the church.

The following top 10 greatest guitar players are some of the most popular guitarists worldwide.

Greatest guitar players of all time

<form> </form>

The greatest guitar player EVER as far as electric guitar – was, without a doubt, Jimi Hendrix. He could even play behind his back or with his tongue. His songs, notwithstanding his licks, made him famous to every college student in the 1960′s and seventies. Hendrix’s music burst forth from those not-so-hallowed halls of academia, where pot and incense mixed together to heighten everybody’s already altered senses. His death was untimely. He was so far ahead of his time that he naturally had to fight the forces of greedy record producers and other jealous guitarists who couldn’t even come close to, stand next to, touch his fire. Shortly after starting his own record company he died of an overdose.

As far as classical guitar playing – the most famous is Andrs Segovia, who achieved worldwide fame in his sixties. His Chaconne by J.S. Bach is incredible. A perfect interpretation of Renaissance music. Segovia’s renditions were technically flawless, smooth, effortless. His music and melodies captured the essential Spain – not the gritty side but the serene beauty, the timeless feel of a sophisticated Iberian sensibility.

At present, the greatest guitar players are mostly found in Spain. Almost no one can play like a Spaniard, unless they have some gypsy in their blood (as Hendrix). Go to a side-street bar late at night in Barcelona or Granada, Spain and hear Flamenco gypsies tear it up. These virtuosos jam on a Tarantas, Pasodobles, Farrucas, Rhumbas. Sometimes a woman Flamenco dancer will dance on a table, while the male guitarists belt-out a wail about a passionate love betrayed or lost -about revenge or racism and poverty. Their language in ancient, a Spanish at times unrecognizable to most people conversant in the language. It is CATALAN, Moorish-gypsy, deeply Catholic. This is terribly exciting music. Flamenco played by Spanish gypsies is so moving, with so much “duende” or feeling. Flamenco artists play it different each time, so it’s always alive, always creative. It’s never boring. Never the same. My absolutely favorite music group is the Gypsy Kings. I’ve seen them perform twice here in Albuquerque and we have their CD’s, DVD’s. Catch them when they come to your town. Not to be missed. Truly fabulous.

Feng Shui Bedside Tables – 10 Feng Shui Tips to Unlocking the Secrets to a Better Home Living in Your Bedroom

Feng Shui Bedside Tables

One of the most important places to bring in good feng shui is your bedroom. If you want to activate your career luck, wealth luck and have good luck, good health and good fortune, feng shui-ing your bedroom is the most important aspect. We have people asking us on how to feng shui your bedroom and we really do have a few amazing feng shui tips that will help you to bring in good fortune and good luck through your bedroom. Feng Shui Bedside Tables

The ancient Chinese method of Feng Shui can help us to balance our home living and create a happier and healthier lives. In the context of feng shui, we often turn our attention to the bedroom, the sanctuary where we rest and rejuvenate. By tapping on the effectiveness of good feng shui, it’s easy to feng shui your bedroom according to feng shui rules and principles so that you can create more good fortune and more harmony in your bedroom.

In terms of yin and yang perspective, our bedroom is a more yin, peaceful and quiet enviroment. Hence, you need to create your bedroom’s ambience into one which you will feel protected and free from distracting and powerful chi that will disturb your rest. In addition, it is also essential that the circulation of chi in your bedroom is good and being distributed evenly and fresh air is available to recharge you.

10 Feng Shui Tips To Unlocking A Better Home Living In Your Bedroom

1. Do not display too many electrical components and equipment in your bedroom

The good feng shui energy or chi in your bedroom will be destroyed when there are too many electronics items in your bedroom. Electronics are known to have negative ions which in terms of feng shui are bad chi or bad energy that will be an interference to a good night sleep.

2. Open the windows in your bedroom

Open the windows in your bedroom frequently to let the good air and energy to enter into your room and bad energy to escape to the outside. Remember to open your windows wide to allow air to be purified and keep the air in your bedroom fresh and full of oxygen. From a feng shui perspective, you cannot have good feng shui in your bedroom if the air you breathe in your bedroom is stale and full of pollutants.

3. Position your bed so that you can see the door from where you sleep.

It is a fact that the dead are being carried out with their head facing the door. If you sleep with the door behind your head, it is an extremely bad feng shui and you will attract bad luck and misfortune. Position your bed so that you can see the door from where you sleep as this gives you a deep sense of inner security.

4. Keep all the doors in your bedroom closed at night

You must close all the doors in your bedroom, be it the closet doors and the bathroom door. By doing this, you will allow the best and most nourishing flow of energy to strengthen your health and also bring your relationship with others to be in good harmony.

5. Have a good headboard

When you are sleeping on your bed, make sure that you have a good solid headboard behind your head while you are sleeping. The reason behind this is that, when you are drifting off to sleep on your bed, your whole body system is undergoing an extra busy energy repair and rejuvenation on many levels. Hence, your head needs good solid backing, protection and support just like your back needs a support when you are seating on a chair for a long period of time. Feng Shui Bedside Tables

6. Position your bed to have more space for each other if you are sleeping with another person

If you are sleeping with your love partner, you must take note of the position of your bed relative to the wall that it is up against. Make sure either of you is not crammed into a corner of a room. Place your bed in a spacious area so that both of you have space to move around on the left or right. This is because, a shared bed crammed into a corner of a room is giving more freedom of chi to the individual on the open side while the other individual will be squeezed to a corner against the wall which is not conducive to good energy flow. This is a very significant feng shui principle if you want to have a good relationship with your significant other.

7. Induce good dimming lighting in your bedroom

Have good levels of lighting that are not very bright in your bedroom. You can even use a dimmer switch to adjust the energy accordingly. Light is one of the strongest manifestation of energy and by placing some dim lighting in your bedroom, you are creating a soothing and relaxing atmosphere. Light also helps to prevent the chi or energy from being stagnant in one corner and helps to distribute these energy evenly around the bedroom. In fact, candles are the best feng shui bedroom lighting, but be sure to buy candles with no toxins.

8. Place your bed in the area further from the door

Never place your bed near to the door or worse still, in line with the door. In other words, you want to be able to see the bedroom’s door while in bed but not be aligned in a straight line with the door. By saying this, it is not only your bedroom’s door that you must take note, your bed should also not be in line with your bathroom’s door, your door to the balcony or your closet doors. In short, you do not want your bed to be in line with any of the doors in your bedroom.

9. Place matching bedside tables on either side of your bed

If two sleep in the bed, make sure you have matching bedside tables on either side of your bed to add stability and protection in the relationship. In addition, make sure that your bedside tables do not have square edges as the sharp points at the end will cause cutting shar chi or killing energy to being focused towards the occupants. Instead, choose bedside tables that have rounded edges.

10. Make sure your bed is in a good height and do not have storage items below your bed

One of the most important feng shui tips for a good bedroom is that your bed must have a good height above the ground. This is to allow for a balanced feng shui chi or energy to flow under the bed. In addition, you must not have built-in storage drawers underneath your bed and these are considered bad feng shui beds. The reason behind is that, the energy or chi needs to circulate around your body when you are sleeping, which is not possible if the space underneath your bed is being blocked. Pay attention to what is under your bed. Keep the space clear and get rid of any unwanted items there. Hence, the ultimate taboo is not to place any storage items beneath your bed and make sure that your bed is in a good height and not too low to the floor.

Conclusion

The truth you need to understand is that very few bedrooms have perfect feng shui. Unless, you had the luck to design and build your house with good feng shui in mind, most probably, you will be facing some challenges to create a good feng shui bedroom. Nevertheless, the good news is, you can check up our website stated below to learn more amazing feng shui tips on how to feng shui your bedroom for a better home living. Feng Shui Bedside Tables
